Why need wheel spacers? For me is just to improve handling to give me a more stable ride
and improves vehicle's center of gravity and the second reason is to improve the look of the vehicle. a few mm different will sure improve the handling?
During some research it came out with the following: (Source: http://www.bmpdesign.com)
Noticed there is a 10-15mm gap between the front and rear wheel fender
If i go for wheel spacers, i can just simply keep my OEM wheel and spray it to gloss black with thicker anti roll bars for front and rear. so i can keep the 55mm thick tires for comfy and improves vehicle's center of gravity and the bad side is i need to replace all the wheel bolts with longer patterns.
If i go for 15mm it will look like above.
This Tiguan with 15mm wheel spacers and wheel arch extension installed.
Gloss Black rims.... That is what i want...
OR . . .
Just simply upgrade it to a 19" wheels for better look and handling? OEM Stock wheels are running 235 55 R18 and VW also came with a little upgrade to 255 40 R19.
Yes, again... bigger wheel need new tires... $$$ GOSH!!
Isn't it lovely? I love this 19" wheel so bad...
Came across with tires size calculator, it came up the following, between 40 and 45mm thick tires, I'm so confuse why VW offer 40mm instead of 45mm tires? aren't 45mm will more comfy on road?
With 45mm tires it just fix the existing wheel size.
